Reviewing a funding decision

Grant awards are made based on the information that a grant applicant provides in their application. If you do not agree with the decision, you may be able to request a review.

Individual grants

When would we consider reviewing a case?

We will consider carrying out a case review when:

  • New information is provided.

  • You believe that we did not consider all the relevant information.

  • You believe and can show that a financial contribution we ask you to make towards your vehicle or adaptation will cause genuine hardship.

I am not satisfied with a grant award review

If you are not satisfied with the outcome, you may request a further review of the funding decision by a Grant Team Manager. At this point, it will be considered as a complaint.

If you are still not satisfied with the outcome, you have the right to escalate to our Complaints team. You can find out how to do this on our Complaints page.

Organisation grants

A review will only be considered by a Transport Solutions Manager at the stage of an expression of interest where:

  • Within the funding round compelling new information becomes available that was not known at the time of the original decision or relevant information was not considered.

  • New, material information that could not reasonably have been provided or known at the time of the original decision.

  • There has been a material error in the assessment process. For example, the applicant has been assessed against the wrong criteria, due-diligence has not been completed correctly, or relevant information was not considered.

  • Bias, predetermination or a conflict of interest is alleged with supporting evidence.

If an organisation is still not satisfied with the outcome, they have the right to escalate your complaint. You can find out how to do this on our Complaints page.
