We held our Annual General Meeting (AGM) on Thursday 29 September.
During the meeting, we were delighted to appoint two new governors to join the board, Jackie Driver FRSA OBE and Merlyn Lowther.
Their experience and knowledge will prove invaluable in continuing to shape our work to ensure all disabled people can make the journeys they choose.
Jackie Driver FRSA OBE
Jackie has extensive experience in dismantling systemic discrimination and creating successful processes for monitoring and measuring advances in social justice.
She was awarded an OBE in the 2021 Queens birthday honours list for her exceptional contribution towards equality, diversity and inclusion.
Jackie worked for many years as a Director at the Equality and Human Rights Commission, and is currently Associate Director for Equality and Inclusion at Greater Manchester Integrated Care.

Merlyn Lowther
Merlyn Lowther has over 40 years’ experience within the finance sector, having worked at the Bank of England and been a non-executive director of Schroders Plc and the Co-operative Bank.
She is currently Deputy Chair of the Council at the University of Salford and a Governor of Manchester High School for Girls.
She has also been a Trustee of the Henry Smith Charity and of The Churchill Fellowship.
