This week is all about visibility, inclusion, and community. From accessible national walks to a regional sports festival, here is how you can get involved, give back, and make a difference.
Learning Disability Week 2026 officially kicks off this week, running from Monday June 15 to Sunday June 21. Spearheaded by the UK charity Mencap, this year's powerful theme is "Do you see me?", challenging us all to ensure that the 1.5 million people living with a learning disability in the UK are truly seen, heard, and valued in every corner of society.
All across the country, local councils, charities, and healthcare trusts are hosting community events, panels, and sports days to break down barriers.
Ready to get involved? See below the events to check out this week.
